THE WEEPING BOYS!

Karma is certainly a b****.

Hehehehehehe this gets even more interesting and worrisome at the same time and just the thought that Zambia can qualify for the WORLD CUP (holiday) in Russia baffles me and sometimes makes my stomach rumble like the previous night I had taken some bad beans.

You may remember if you happened to have been at a boarding school how terrible your stomach would react after having a meal of bad beans. That's the feeling the realization that the once MIGHTY CHIPOLOPOLO has failed to qualify for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations brings to my tummy.

Fifa ranking where are we? I can't say because it is embarrassing but to think that we can qualify for the Russia WC whose qualification draws are already out is as good as Seeing Former Father Father FB on the puppet sharing the word of the Lord after leaving the Church for a more lucrative business on the Zambian Political scene. Anyway I will not dwell much on him going back to the church and what not but I do believe he is enjoying the fruits of his new role. Always next to the president and even responding to imaginary questions from the likes of his good friend from the UPND GBV and Journalists.

Eishh before I lose my thought, were was I again? Ohhhh thank goodness I have remembered, the dagga I had in secondary school and the Castle Lite I have been having with cdes in the profession has nothing on me. Chipolopolo performance since winning the 2012 AFCON in Gabon.

In the qualifiers we are facing Algeria, Cameroon and Nigeria all previous winners of the AFCON. Need not mention that these teams have been to the World Cup before, played and held big teams like Germany. It will be a daunting task playing against a north African side like Algeria as teams from that part of Africa have almost always beaten us be it in friendly matches, tournaments or qualifiers.

Have we done enough to grant us a berth in Russia? The answer is in plain white and for the visually impaired its in braille. Zambian football standards have been gradually and steadily falling down like Super Mario Balotelli's career. And if you ask me where he is i will not be able to tell you because honestly i do not know. Zaza even with that kind of a penalty at an International tournament is still wayyyyy better than the Mario of today.

And the run of poor results should not be blamed on Andrew Kamanga and his team of advisers or chola boys. Andrew Kamanga (AK47) fondly known by his good friends inherited a losing team and under him the team has only played a few games.

Ohh yeah even at the COSAFA tournament in Namibia we were weeping boys, lost against King Mswati's boys. Anyway i understand they may have been exasperated after their King once again got one from them (young virgin) but again losing to Namibia renders my first point invalid. The issue of hiring an expatriate coach is of huge concern and we need one like yesterday.

We have tried and tested our local coaches enough and they have failed to live up to the expectations of many. Recently we had Honor Janza and now we still continue to bank on George Lwandamina and thanks to him and some other factors the coffin cover is slowly closing on us.

In picture, National team coach George Lwandamina in National team jersey. Talk of coordination!

If an expatriate with a traceable winning record is not hired in time, all of us visualizing anything positive on Zambian football should wake up and maybe try dancing to Dununa Reverse maybe, just maybe your spirits will wake up from their slumber.

Having a new army of players is another aspect that should be considered. Our current players have no zeal for trophies, some among them won the AFCON as players on the pitch while some as bench warmers but the truth is that they have done their part and require rest or better, retirement. It is not even rocket science we know most of them are in their late 30s and early 40s if we are to go by their real ages.

There is need for the New guys at the helm of Zambian football to step their authority by giving the Zambians what they want which is good results. The FAZ supper league is one of the most competitive leagues on African soil but how come nonentities like Swaziland are getting results against the 2012 champions? Have we gone to bed for far too long? I will state it again that Zambia is à footballing nation and missing at a major tournament is an insult of the highest order to me and many others and my good friend Mukwima Chilala who has decided to go on a sabbatical leave from football after that Mkandawire missjudge that led to Zambia being booted out of contention for the 2017 tourney.

I think for today this is enough........

Zambia just needs the swager back, an expatriate coach, players with real vehemence, a good leadership in charge of Zambian football, selecting of players on merit (too much of incompetent Patson Daka) and before i forget, AK47 and Great Kalu need to reconcile, they MUST iron their differences. That is in someway affecting Zambian football.

Andrew Kamanga and his predecessor Kalusha Bwalya

 See you soon................
